Once
the risk/hazard analysis has been made, depending upon the
type of hazard, fire protection systems can be designed. The
basis of design parameters can be decided by the ultimate
user. Depending upon the budget available either in that specific
year or over the years, master planning should be done to
ensure maximum safety at minimum of cost. Phase wise implementation
of the master plan should be carried out ensuring that the
objective is achieved.
The
most common types of protection systems which are commonly
used in our industry are as follows :
- Hydrant
System
- Sprinkler
System
- Fire
Alarm System - including Public Address, Remote Cordless
Annunciating System
- CO2
System
- Extinguishers
- Foam
System
- Halon
System
- FM200
/ Inergen (Halon Alternative) System
- Water
Spray System
- Dry
